Zugspitze: Day trip from Munich

About
Want to breathe some fresh mountain air? You can do it from Munich! Just hop on this bus tour and travel onwards and upwards to Germany’s highest peak.
This day trip from Munich takes you straight into the Alpine upland and its green valleys. Check out the storybook houses of Garmisch-Partenkirchen on the bus ride up the mountain, and onto the valley station of the Zugspitze, Germany’s highest peak, 2,963 meters into the clouds.
The new cable car takes just minutes to traverse the mountain, and you’ll be staring at views of the Bavarian, Austrian, Swiss and Italian Alps. Grab a meal at one of the peak’s restaurants and try a bit of bobsledding, or a hike on the glacial ice. Come back down the mountain on the cogwheel train, and board your bus back to Munich.
