A site of pilgrimage for centuries, the steep incline and 1.5-mile hike to the mountaintop church-sanctuary offers up incredible views over Bogotá. But, you don’t have to be religious – or a hiker – to make the most of this Monserrate ticket.
Take the Monserrate funicular to the top to experience an unusual train ride, or race to the top inside a cable car. Make sure to visit the monastery and see El Señor Caído (The Fallen Lord) or to try and catch the sunset from the mountaintop.

Before you buy
- Kids under 1 meter tall ride for free, no need ticket
- You may be located on the funicular or cable car depending on availability or weather conditions
- This is a regular ticket, not a fast pass

On-site usage
- Head to the transportation access line: Funicular or Cable Car and present your QR code at the turnstiles
- In case you cannot display your QR code, you can provide the numeric code to one of the employees. If you don’t have the QR or numeric code, you will need to purchase the ascent or descent ticket, depending on the case
- Ticket valid until one hour after the selected time slot, only for the day it was first used. Check the schedule before your visit

- Cancellation is allowed within 5 business days following your purchase, and if there is no less than a 5 business day period between the ticket purchase date and the scheduled travel date, and the ticket has not been used.
- During the Christmas season, pets are not allowed at night, nor during the day on Sundays or holidays
